Who is responsible for the data collection on this website?

The data on this website is processed by the website operator. You can find the contact details in the imprint of this website and further down on this page.

How do we collect your data?

For one thing, your data is collected when you communicate it to us. This may be data that you enter in a contact form, for example.

Other data is automatically collected by our IT systems when you visit our website. This is mainly technical data, e.g. the name of your Internet browser or operating system, or the time of your page visit.

What do we use your data for?

Part of the data is collected to ensure an error-free provision of the website. Other data can be used to analyse your user behaviour, e.g. in order to optimise this website.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right to receive information, free of charge and at any time, about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data.

You also have the right to demand the correction of inaccurate data, the limitation of the processing of too extensively processed data, and the blocking or deletion of data that has been processed unlawfully or stored for too long, insofar as not opposed by any statutory requirement to preserve records or other requirements pursuant to Art. 17 para. 3 GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation, Datenschutz-Grundverordnung/DSGVO). Additionally, you have the right to have transferred all data provided by you to us in a common file format (Right to Data Portability).

To exercise your rights, please email us at the address given in the imprint.

Furthermore, you have the right to appeal to the responsible Data Protection Supervisory Authority.

For further details, please see this Data Protection Policy at "Right to Limit the Data Processing".

TOOLS AND THIRD-PARTY TOOLS

When you visit our website, your surfing behaviour can be statistically evaluated. This is mainly done by means of cookies and so-called analysis programs. The analysis of your surfing behaviour is usually anonymous; the surfing behaviour cannot be traced back to you. You may object to this analysis or prevent it by not using certain tools. For detailed information on this, please see the following Data Protection Declaration.

REVOCATION OF YOUR CONSENT TO DATA PROCESSING

Much data processing is only possible with your express consent. You can revoke your consent at any time. All you need to do is send us an informal email. The legality of the data processing up to the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE DATA COLLECTION IN SPECIAL CASES AND TO DIRECT ADVERTISING (ART. 21 GDPR)

If the data is processed pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e or f GDPR, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data for reasons that arise from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. For the respective legal basis on which the processing is based, please see this Data Protection Declaration. If you object, we will no longer process your personal information unless we can establish compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights, and freedoms, or if the processing is for asserting, exercising, or defending legal claims (opposition pursuant to Art. 21 Sect. 1 GDPR).

If your personal data is processed to engage in direct advertising, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of such advertising; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is relates to such direct mail. RIGHT TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE COMPETENT SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY

In the event of violations of the GDPR, the persons concerned have the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their regular residence, of their place of work, or of the place of the alleged violation. The right to file a complaint is without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.

RIGHT TO DATA PORTABILITY

Regarding the data which we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in order to fulfil a contract, you have the right to have it handed over to you or a third party in a common, machine-readable format. SSL OR TLS ENCRYPTION

For security reasons and to protect the confidential contents such as purchase orders or inquiries that you transmit to us as the website operator, this website uses either a SSL or a TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser switches from http:// to https:// and by the lock icon in the browser line.

If the SSL or TSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

INFORMATION, BLOCKING, DELETION, AND CORRECTION

Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right, at any time and free of charge, to demand information about your archived personal data, its origin and recipients as well as about the purpose of the data processing. You may also have the right to have your data corrected, blocked, or deleted. If you have any further questions on this or on the subject of data protection in general, you can always contact us at the address given in the imprint.

RIGHT TO LIMIT THE DATA PROCESSING

You have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data. If you have any questions on this, you can always contact us at the address given in the imprint. The right to demand the restriction of the processing applies in the following cases:

  • In the event that you dispute the correctness of your personal data stored by us, we usually need some time to verify this claim. For the duration of the examination, you have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • In the event that the processing of your personal data has been / is unlawful, you may demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of its deletion.
  • In the event that we no longer require your personal data, but you need it to establish, exercise, or defend your legal claims, you have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of its deletion.
  • In the event that you have filed an objection against the processing pursuant to Art. 21 Sect. 1 GDPR, your and our interests must be weighted. As long as it has not been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may only be processed – apart from its storage – with your consent or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims or to protect the rights of another natural or legal person or for important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

OBJECTION TO ADVERTISING EMAILS

We hereby object to the use of the contact details published as part of our duty to publish an imprint for the purpose of sending us advertising or informational materials that we have not expressly requested. The operators of the sites expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam emails.

3. DATA COLLECTION ON OUR WEBSITE

COOKIES

Our Internet pages partly use so-called cookies. These are small text files which your Web browser stores on your device. Cookies enable us to analyse your use of a website and thereby serve to make our offer more user-friendly, efficient, and secure. They do not damage your device and do not contain any viruses.

Most cookies we use are so-called "session cookies." They are deleted automatically at the end of your browser session. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser at your next visit.

You can configure your browser so as to be informed about the placement of cookies, to allow cookies only case by case, to refuse cookies in general or in certain cases, and to have cookies automatically deleted upon closing your browser. If you deactivate cookies, this may limit the functionality of our website.

Cookies required to implement the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions desired by you (e.g. shopping cart function) are stored pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies to ensure a technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies for analysing your surfing behaviour) are stored, they are treated separately in the present Data Protection Declaration.

SERVER LOG FILES

The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files that are automatically transmitted to us by your browser. This information includes:

  • browser type and browser version;
  • operating system;
  • referrer URL;
  • host name of the accessing device;
  • time of the server request;
  • IP address.

This data is not compiled with other data sources.

The data is collected pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website – for this, the server log files must be collected.

CONTACT FORM

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, we will store your information given in the inquiry form, including the contact data you indicate, in order to process your inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not transmit your data to third parties without your permission.

We thus process your data entered in the contact form solely on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time. All you need to do is send us an informal email. The legality of the data processing up to the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data transmitted to us via the contact form remains with us until you demand its deletion or withdraw your consent for the data storage or until the purpose of the data storage ceases to exist (e. g. after your inquiry has been processed). Compelling legal provisions – in particular storage periods – remain unaffected.

INQUIRIES VIA EMAIL, TELEPHONE, OR FAX

If you contact us via email, telephone, or telefax, we will store and process your inquiry including all personal data arising therefrom (e. g. name, inquiry) in order to process your inquiry. We do not transmit your data to third parties without your permission.

This data is processed pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, insofar as your inquiry is related to the fulfilment of a contract or necessary in order to implement pre-contractual measures. In all other cases the processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) and/or on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR), as we have a legitimate interest in the effective processing of our inquiry directed to us.

The data transmitted to us via the contact form remains with us until you demand its deletion or withdraw your consent for the data storage or until the purpose of the data storage ceases to exist (e. g. after your inquiry has been processed). Compelling legal provisions – in particular storage periods – remain unaffected.

REGISTRATION ON THIS WEBSITE

You can register on our website in order to use additional features on the pages. The data entered for this purpose is employed by us only in order to provide you with the offer or service for which you have registered. The mandatory information requested in the process of registration must be given completely. Otherwise, we will decline your registration.

In the case of important changes, e.g. concerning the scope of the offer or technically necessary changes, we will use the email address entered upon registration in order to inform you about the changes.

We process your data entered upon registration solely on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time. All you need to do is send us an informal email. The legality of the data processing up to the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation. We store the data registered upon registration as long as you are registered on our website and subsequently delete them. Compelling legal provisions – in particular storage periods – remain unaffected.

PROCESSING OF DATA (CLIENT AND CONTACT DATA)

We collect, process, and use personal data only in as far as this is necessary for the justification, development, or modification of the legal relationship (inventory data). This is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which allows the processing of data in order to fulfil a contract or pre-contractual measures. We collect, process, and use the personal data arising from the use of our web pages (usage data) only insofar as this is necessary in order to enable the user to use or be invoiced for our services.

The collected customer data will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship. Compelling legal provisions – in particular storage periods – remain unaffected.

4. ANALYSIS TOOLS AND ADVERTISING

Matomo (formerly called Piwik)

This website uses the open source web analysis service Matomo. Matomo uses technologies that make it possible to recognize the user across multiple pages with the aim of analyzing the user patterns (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information recorded by Matomo about the use of this website will be stored on our server. Prior to archiving, the IP address will first be anonymized.

Through Matomo, we are able to collect and analyze data on the use of our website by website visitors. This enables us to find out, for instance, when which page views occurred and from which region they came. In addition, we collect various log files (e.g. IP address, referrer, browser, and operating system used) and can measure whether our website visitors perform certain actions (e.g. clicks, purchases, etc.).

The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user patterns, in order to optimize the operator’s web offerings and advertising. If a corresponding agreement has been requested (e.g. an agreement to the storage of cookies), the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the agreement can be revoked at any time.

Hosting

We host Matomo exclusively on our own servers so that all analysis data remains with us and is not passed on.

IP-ANONYMISATION

On this website, we have activated the function of IP anonymisation. As a result, Google truncates your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other Contracting States of the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmitting it to the United States. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google uses this information in order to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities, and to provide other services related to the use of the website and of the Internet to
the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google.

BROWSER PLUG-IN

You can avoid the storage of cookies by appropriately adjusting your browser software. Please note, however, that in this case, you may not be able to fully use all functions of this website.

In addition, you can avoid the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google as well as the processing of this data through Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available via the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

OBJECTION TO DATA COLLECTION

You can avoid the collection of your data through Google Analytics by clicking on the following link: deactivate Google Analytics. An opt-out cookie is set which prevents the collection of your data upon future visits to this website.

You can find more information on handling of user data by Google Analytics in Google's Data Protection Declaration: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

ORDER PROCESSING

We have entered into an order-processing contract with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

STORAGE PERIOD

Data stored by Google which is at the user and event level and associated with cookies, user identifications (e.g. user ID), or advertising IDs (e.g. DoubleClick cookies, Android advertising ID) will be anonymised or deleted after 14 months. For details, please see the following Google page about data storage: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=de

5. PLUG-INS AND TOOLS
